Project 52:24 • Sun Up, I'm Working
***
There's this goofy video about being a country boy that my husband just thinks is hysterical. In it, the main character says "Sun up...and I'm working. Sun's down...and I'm working." It's silly, but it's quotable, so certain lines get said around here quite a bit. :)
Beau? He's a worker. Would rather dig in the dirt or haul rocks than just about anything else. His Grammy got him a set of little Caterpillar tractors and he's spent the better part of this week just moving dirt and making the requisite "beep beep" noises every time the truck backs up.
I am so fortunate to have married someone with such integrity, perseverance, and strength. Andrew works long, hard hours in the welding shop, wearing jeans, a starched, long-sleeve welding shirt, a cap, and welding hood. That's a sweaty combo when it's NOT 100+ degrees outside.
If my son grows up to love his work half as much as my husband does, he will be blessed...and he will be a blessing: to his wife, his family, and his community.
The fact that Beau has such an amazing man to model himself after makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. My heart swells with pride, and my favorite part of the day is when we hear the welding truck rolling up the driveway and Beau's face lights up as he yells out, "Daddy home! Hiiii, Daddy!"
Happy Father's Day, babe. Thanks for being my baby's Daddy and the best partner I could have ever imagined! I love you.
