My cousin Zoe and her husband gave Beau the cutest little astronaut boots when he was just a baby. For months, they were displayed on a little shelf, waiting to be worn. The first time I put them on Beau's feet, he cried. I guess he didn't like the way they came almost all the way up to his knees.
Then, he liked them. Correct that. LOVED them. Wouldn't ever wear regular shoes. I guess it's because he could put them on without help (as you can tell by the missing pull-straps on both boots).
These boots are dried out, cracked, peeling, and missing pieces. I'm sad no other babies will ever get to wear these, but so happy he loved them enough to wear them out.
